What is in this workbook?
This workbook has three sheets: Salon Coverage Dashboard, Salon Coverage Grid, and Setup. Salon Coverage Dashboard is the quick-review surface, Salon Coverage Grid is the editable working log, and Setup holds supporting inputs, reusable context, or working rules.
How the workflow and formulas work
Use Salon Coverage Grid for a safe team ID, role, coverage area, Mon–Sun shift codes, weekly hours, and coverage status; use Setup for shift markers, standard hours, review cadence, and safety rules. Salon Coverage Grid counts assigned Mon–Sun shifts in column K, looks up each day's shift-code duration from Setup and sums those durations for weekly hours in column L, counts OPEN shifts in column M, and calculates coverage status in column N. Salon Coverage Dashboard totals listed staff and hours and counts rows needing review.
How to use it in Griddy
Replace the sample values before sharing, then review the calculated Salon Coverage Dashboard fields after editing the working log. The workbook includes a dropdown validation resource and a conditional-formatting resource for the relevant review or status fields.
Keep sensitive records out of the workbook
Use team IDs and operational service zones. Keep client, payroll, health, performance, and credential records in approved systems. This workbook is a planning aid and does not replace accounting, legal, HR, tax, or education-record systems.
