What is in this workbook?
This workbook has three sheets: Coverage Review, Weekly Schedule, and Staff & Availability. Coverage Review is the quick-review surface, Weekly Schedule is the editable working log, and Staff & Availability holds supporting inputs, reusable context, or working rules.
How the workflow and formulas work
Use Weekly Schedule for employee, role, location, Mon–Sun shift codes, hours per shift, weekly hours, coverage, and notes; record location, availability, constraints, backup coverage, and notes in Staff & Availability. Weekly hours counts non-OFF Mon–Sun cells and multiplies them by hours per shift. A modeled OPEN SHIFT row returns Open, under-covered staff return Review, and Coverage Review counts open shifts plus rows needing attention.
How to use it in Griddy
Replace the sample values before sharing, then review the calculated Coverage Review fields after editing the working log. The workbook includes a dropdown validation resource and a conditional-formatting resource for the relevant review or status fields.
