What is in this workbook?
This workbook has three sheets: Dashboard, Invoice Builder, and Client & Payment Setup. Dashboard is the quick-review surface, Invoice Builder is the editable working log, and Client & Payment Setup holds supporting inputs, reusable context, or working rules.
How the workflow and formulas work
Use Invoice Builder for Description, Qty, Rate, Line total, and Notes; use Client & Payment Setup for client label, invoice number, dates, tax rate, paid to date, terms, and status. Each Line total is Qty multiplied by Rate. The builder calculates Subtotal, Tax, Invoice total, Paid to date, and Balance due with MAX(Invoice total-Paid to date,0); Dashboard reads those values.
How to use it in Griddy
Replace the sample values before sharing, then review the calculated Dashboard fields after editing the working log. The workbook includes a dropdown validation resource and a conditional-formatting resource for the relevant review or status fields.
Keep sensitive records out of the workbook
Use matter nicknames or internal IDs only. Do not place privileged communications, client identifiers, or trust-account details here. This workbook is a planning aid and does not replace accounting, legal, HR, tax, or education-record systems.
